In Australia the flight from coal has reached the end of the road. Its all over Red Rover. Net zero has hit the wall imposed by the ABC of intermittent energy production.

Germany hit the wall round about 2018 but most of the lights stayed on with the help of imports and later by deindustrialization.

Now the main game in town is to revise the narrative, get over the absurd prejudice about fossil fuels and petrochemical products.

The Greens seem to be a very politically nimble party - anything to keep their noses in the trough. The Germans are in deep trouble financially as well after the high court deemed that monies borrowed for covid could not be used for anything but that. Habeck wanted it to top up the energy coffers.
